Bodies found of Turkish pilots of plane shot down by Syria
Turkish search teams have recovered the bodies of the two pilots missing since their reconnaissance plane was shot down by Syria on June 22. Ankara said they were found in water 1,260 meters deep but not in what part of the sea. US and Russian sources continue to dispute Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip ERdogan’s insistence that the Turkish plane was shot down over international waters. The Russian defense ministry claims it has plenty of evidence that the plane was in Syria air space and will release it at a future date.
